Art is a universal mean of communication that connects the world and it allows people from different cultures and times to speak with each other via images, sounds and stories.
“Jashn -e-Azaadi”, celebrates the independence day of two great nations, India and Pakistan, in an artistic way organized by Funun Arts along with Novotel, World Trade Center, Dubai.
Funun Arts took an initiative to bring everyone from different up comings and diverse cultures together through art. Total 40 artists, 20 from India and 20 from Pakistan showcased their artwork depicting the culture, colors and traditions of the nation through their paintings and photographs. We can see the variety of work from abstract, modern and contemporary to photographs. Each of them narrates a story that amazingly expresses through colors, textures and the eye of a camera. We experience the truck art of Pakistan, Buddha and Lord Krishna paintings from India, colors of both nations, Islamic art and much more. It is like enjoying the pure fusion of both countries. It’s a unique concept where Indian and Pakistani artists are brought on one platform in order to spread the message of positivity and universal love.
The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Suhail Mohammad Al Zarooni, (Chairman of Zarooni Group) along with Dr. Faisal Ikram, (President of Pakistan Association Dubai), Dr. Sana Sajan, (Chairman of Danube Welfare society) , Mr. Amjad Ali Khan , (Chairman Pakistan Professional wing), Mr. Firoz Khan ,( chairman of Indian performance art), Mr. Faisal Abdul Qader and Ahmed Alawadhi (renowned Emirati Artist).
His Excellency Suhail Mohammad Al Zarooni said, “Arts overcome cultural and ethnic differences bringing people together. Today this is a very beautiful evening where we can experience such variety of art around us. Vibrant and colorful environment gives energy and keeps the spirit high.”
Dr. Sans Sajan congratulates Funun Arts for the beautiful exhibition and said, “The most important thing is perseverance and this is achieved by today’s exhibition. This type of platform is required to keep the creativity high and bring everyone together on one platform. No doubt Art is only the thing which can do it best.”
Dr. Faisal Ikram said, “Art is the reflection of people and their social context. UAE is the nation of tolerance and this art exhibition is the best example of the same. Art also unifies differences and brings awareness.”
GM of Novotel, World Trade Center, Mr. Anoop said that he was glad to host such a beautifully themed exhibition. As we know art influences society by changing opinions, instilling values and translating experiences across space and time.
Shiba Khan and Farah Khan said, “We share large swaths of culture, and common love for food, music and art. Our culture, festival , sports are so same, even our Folk tales such as Heer Ranjha, Shirin and Farhad and Mirza Sahiban are famous in both lands. Sufism, poetry and Sufi music is also well-known throughout Pakistan and India. Both countries are famous worldwide for their delicious cuisines. We share large swaths of culture, and common love for food, music and art.. Our culture, festival , sports are so much same, even our Folk tales such as Heer Ranjha, Shirin and Farhad and Mirza Sahiban are famous in both lands. Sufism, poetry and Sufi music is also well-known throughout Pakistan and India. Both countries are famous worldwide for their delicious cuisines. Behind each exhibition there is lot of hard work, from selecting the title, curating the artwork, creating promotional videos, selecting music, and list will go on. But we have put our soul in every minute details to organize this art exhibition.”
