Funun Arts Group, in collaboration with Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre, successfully inaugurated “Only One Earth,” an international art exhibition dedicated to raising environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable thinking through the universal language of art.
Launched on 5 June 2026 in celebration of World Environment Day, the exhibition will remain open to visitors until 27 August 2026 at Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre, offering a unique platform where creativity and environmental consciousness come together.
Bringing together 25 artists from 11 countries, the exhibition presents a diverse collection of artworks that reflect humanity’s relationship with nature and emphasize our shared responsibility toward protecting the planet. Through paintings, mixed-media works, photography, and contemporary artistic expressions, participating artists explore themes including climate awareness, biodiversity, conservation, sustainability, and the interconnectedness of all life on Earth.

The opening ceremony welcomed a distinguished gathering of guests, including His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah, Ahmed Al Awadhi, Kusum Dutta, Anjini Prakash Laitu, and Peter Gressman, alongside renowned artists Abduljabbar Weiss, Omar Ezzat Habra, and Mazen Arabi, whose artistic contributions continue to enrich both regional and international cultural landscapes.
A key highlight of the evening was an engaging panel discussion led by Dr. Heba Ahmed Aboukhousa, Assistant Professor at Mohammed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, accompanied by her student Hajar Anwar Al Awadhi. The discussion explored pressing environmental challenges and emphasized the role of art, education, and culture in fostering awareness, inspiring dialogue, and encouraging meaningful action toward a more sustainable future.
The exhibition showcases artworks by artists from Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, the Philippines, Lebanon, Romania, India, Mauritania, Switzerland, Russia, and New Zealand, reflecting a rich exchange of cultural perspectives united by a common concern for the environment.
The opening evening featured a carefully curated program comprising a welcome ceremony, keynote remarks, artist recognition, the panel discussion, and a guided exhibition tour. Visitors had the opportunity to interact directly with artists and gain deeper insights into the environmental messages embedded within their works.
Adding an interactive and community-focused dimension to the event, guests participated in a sustainable art activity in collaboration with The Green Revolution, painting terracotta pots while engaging in conversations about environmental responsibility and conscious living.
The exhibition was further supported by valued partners who contributed to the event experience. Ahmed Al Maghribi presented gifts to distinguished guests, while The Green Revolution offered self-watering plants as sustainable keepsakes. Creative Caves, founded by participating artist Anum Sultana, showcased handcrafted ocean-inspired artworks that beautifully complemented the exhibition’s environmental theme and 19AGH supported the event as media and marketing partners.

The exhibition features works by Abduljabbar Weiss (Syria), Amani Fekry (Egypt), Anum Sultana (Pakistan), Bless Afable (Philippines), Celina Srieddine (Lebanon), Cristina Gabriela Buzatu (Romania), Dr. Anum Anwar Ali (Pakistan), Dr. Poonam Chauhan (India), Hana Kanjo (Syria), Isabelle Alves da Silva Neves (Mauritania), Maisara Mamdoh (Syria), Mazen Arabi (Lebanon), Monia Sahraoui (Switzerland), Mussarat Yasmin (Pakistan), Nadia Reda Khartabil (Syria), Natalia Venerova (Russia), Nazmin Rasheed (India), Nikita Neogy (New Zealand), Nirmeen Hashim (Syria), Omar Ezzat Habra (Syria), Pari Sagar (India), Sanav Pargi (India), Seham Elwazery (Egypt), Shimaa Kellaney (Egypt), and Soobika Fawad (Pakistan).
