Correct me if I’m wrong, but botox and Bollywood are two sides of a coin in today’s world, a world of airbrushed perfections. While the number of actors who are happy with their original self is dwindling, the sect of silicone takers, in the form implants and injections is growing by the minute. And if you’re a Bollywood buff (just like me), you know I’m not making this up.
Although B-town has abundant examples to offer, I’m going to sight the newest addition to the bandwagon and believe you me, nothing will surprise/shock you more.
Actress Ayesha Takia Azmi has allegedly gone under the knife and her latest pictures scream nothing but botox and plastic surgery.
It is hard to believe that a face that once looked like this:
…is posing for the shutterbugs with what seems like a frozen face and bee-stung lips!
It is not my intention to dig dirt, but I have a problem with the way the idea of beauty and ‘staying’ beautiful is projected with nothing but artificial enhancements. Yes, I probably don’t have the right to point out flaws with others, but I speak on behalf of every other girl who is tired of people telling her, ‘maybe if you did this…’
Especially when influencers and celebrities, who are in a state of moulding impressionable minds propagate such agenda that only goes to encourage the parasitic notion of perfection that feeds off women’s insecurities.
Well, this isn’t the first time a member of the Tinselville has chosen silicone over natural beauty. Even A-listers like Anushka Sharma have allegedly undergone a lip job.
And unfortunately, the list goes on.
Again, without any intention of offence, is it really what we want to pass on to our progeny? A box full of botox?
