Get ready for the second edition of the Annual Student Art Show organized by Funun Arts Group and by Youth Creative Minds Hub in October 2023 at De Montfort University, Dubai. The Annual Student Art Show is a vibrant 2-day celebration of creativity, talent, and artistic expression. It is proudly recognized to as the largest youth art and cultural event in the Gulf. What started as a simple idea by Khan Ayaan Abdulla, the founder and director of YOUTH Creative Minds Hub, and the visionary Khan Sisters, Shiba Khan and Farah Khan, founders of Funun Arts, has grown into an annual spectacular that unites young artists from all across the region.
The Annual Student Art Show offers young artists from schools and universities an opportunity to display their work in front of an international audience that includes well-known artists, art enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and the general public. Young talents can use it as a launching pad, kindling their enthusiasm, instilling confidence in their skills, and also creating a feeling of responsibility towards the environment. Through this event, the organizers hope to provide an environment that inspires and supports young artists as they push limits, try out creative methods, raise awareness, and explore the complex issue of climate change.
The event offers a platform to people of all ages, starting with young kids in elementary school at age 5 and ending with university students at age 25, all of whom are divided into four main age categories. With such a wide age range, the event accepts a variety of artistic forms while keeping in mind that it doesn’t hurt the planet Earth, including sculptures and painting with acrylic, oil, or pastel, among other media.
The Annual Student Art Show features a full program of workshops, masterclasses, a youth speaker forum, and other interactive activities led by established artists and experts that offer the young participants excellent learning opportunities.
From having 350 students from 50+ nationalities residing within the country in the last edition, this year is going to be bigger and better. With an expected 700+ students participating and joining us from around the world, it will serve as a hub for artistic exchange, fostering connections, collaborations, and lifelong friendships among the creative community.
